The MiniVent is suitable for any animal with tidal volumes of 30-350 ul and respiratory rates of 60-400 breaths per minute. Very quiet, compact, and light weight, this ventilator features a convenient rod clamp that allows the MiniVent to be positioned directly next to the animal.
The MiniVent employs a valveless rotary plunger that eliminates clogging during the ventilation cycle. A cleverly designed cylinder and plunger control inspiration and expiration with a synchronized forward and rotating movement. This ventilator reduces tidal volume error due to system compliance to 3 ul.
