“With the latest release of IMPACT Online, we are once again demonstrating our commitment to use customer feedback to advance our product development and innovation. IMPACT Online’s database of three million patient encounters is growing steadily, as is our ability to incorporate new features derived from our interactions with leading hospitals across the country. We think our customers will be pleased with the exciting enhancements we’ve made to version 4.0. We expect to more than double the number of IMPACT Online customers this fiscal year.” Brian Concannon, President and CEO of Haemonetics, May 2012
IMPACT Online Version 4.0 includes the ability to compare and benchmark blood use and clinical outcomes across all hospitals within an integrated network. It also provides enhanced blood utilization reporting, such as age of blood metrics, to measure the age of the unit of blood at the time of transfusion, as well as ABO Rh distribution reports to identify the blood type of the transfusion recipient and the blood type of the unit transfused. Hospitals can view blood use and transfusion trigger points for each individual surgeon, as well as other physicians in the department. The new version is also the first to incorporate information with other Haemonetics blood management solutions through BloodTrack® Manager data, which provides customers with greater visibility to transfusion trends. Registered IMPACT Online customers can access the tool via the company’s new website at www.haemonetics.com.
Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, one of the leading blood conservation institutions in the country, has been successfully using IMPACT Online since its initial launch in 2010. “We’ve been using IMPACT Online for more than two years and have been impressed by how much it has helped us manage our blood use and enhance our patient care. We are excited about the new features available on IMPACT Online 4.0 because they present us with even more opportunities to help manage our costs and improve clinical outcomes.” Dr. Lori Heller, Swedish Medical Center, May 2012
