SIMSBURY, Conn., /PRNewswire/ -- Gluten-Free New England, LLC is delighted to present the region’s premier resource for healthy gluten-free living. Their just-launched website offers a dining directory, events calendar, reviews, recipes, and articles contributed by local writers and experts. They also organize large-scale expos, festivals, and farm dinners, and provide outreach for teens and young families.

Connecticut resident Abby Helman Kelly, who has been gluten free for 8 years, started the business as “Gluten-Free Connecticut” in 2016. She quickly amassed thousands of followers on social media, local and national interest in her events and collaborations, and steady traffic to the website. Her expo this past April had 70 vendors and drew 2,500 people. “It just took off,” she explains. “I’ve got family all over New England, some of whom have celiac disease. And, with the number of people avoiding gluten and other food allergens growing fast, expanding into the rest of the region was the natural next step. So here we are!”

Kelly, rebuilt the website and selected a domain that rings true to area residents. “Wickedglutenfree.com is regional, accurate, and kinda fun, which pretty much sums up the business,” she laughs. Her mission is to be New England’s one-stop-shop for healthy and safe gluten-free living. Holiday events, food truck fests, and expos are in the works, all run by Kelly and her family. She is also collaborating with Boston Children’s Hospital to increase the number of local celiac outreach programs for families throughout the region.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to be active participants in the site by submitting events, personal stories and listings for the expanding dining directory. “This is a neighborhood resource made for New Englanders, by New Englanders,” Kelly says. “My staff is constantly scouring the region for content and restaurants, but who better to recommend a dinner spot than someone who was just there last week? It’s about harnessing the power of our celiac, gluten-sensitive, and food allergic communities and businesses to help each other, because we’re all in this together.”

Gluten-Free New England’s next expos are on 4/28/19 at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT and 10/27/19 at the Boston Marriott in Burlington, MA. A family-friendly gluten-free holiday party is planned for 12/16/18 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI. For more information contact: Abby Helman Kelly (860)836-5041, 202193@email4pr.com/
