Regensburg, February 06, 2008 - GENEART AG, the global leader in gene synthesis and specialist in the field of synthetic biology, continued its strong growth trend through 2007 as indicated by the preliminary sales and earnings numbers. In 2007, the sales volume increased by 59 % from EUR 7.8M to about EUR 12.3M. The company earnings (EBIT) grew by 80 % from EUR 1.0M in the previous year to about EUR 1.8M in 2007 (numbers are based on HGB, German Commercial Code). For the first time, the annual financial statement 2007 was also prepared according to international accounting standards (IFRS). The EBIT according to IFRS amounts to EUR 1.8M for 2007 as well.
