BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - January 13, 2016) - Cambridge Healthtech Institute, a leading provider of healthcare, technology and life science conferences, and Clinical Informatics News, an online clinical management and innovation publication, invite the health IT community to join the discussion at the fourth annual Medical Informatics World Conference, to be held April 4-5, 2016 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA. The objective of the professional forum is to drive healthcare and patient outcome improvements through cross-industry collaboration and innovative technologies. Nicholas Marko of Geisinger Health System and Adrienne Boissy of Cleveland Clinic will open the 2016 program with lively discussion on the topic.
During his presentation, Marko will explore the opportunities of health data analysis in an environment unbounded by the inherent constraints of electronic health records. Boissy will follow this with her lessons-learned in engaging experienced clinicians to leverage new technologies and evolve patient care.
“We are thrilled to kick start Medical Informatics World 2016 with two health data and patient care visionaries,” states Micah Lieberman, Executive Conference Director at Cambridge Healthtech Institute. “Marko’s role as the first Chief Data Officer at Geisinger and his clinical experience as a practicing neurosurgeon coupled with Boissy’s novel initiatives in patient experience will provide a cross-functional perspective of what’s to come in healthcare and how technology is enabling the changes.”
Joining Marko and Boissy for the keynote session are two respected Medical Informatics World veterans: John Halamka, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s CIO; and UNC’s Senior Healthcare Advisor, Jason Burke.
The 2016 program offers five focused conference tracks to allow the community to delve into the most pressing topics of cross-industry data sharing, population health, patient engagement, and clinical decision support. Keeping pace with the evolving industry, coverage has now expanded to include quantitative imaging and radiomics, predictive analytics and interoperability.
