Flex Pharma Announces Closing Of Initial Public Offering

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flex Pharma, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLKS), a biotechnology company that is developing innovative and proprietary treatments for nocturnal leg cramps and spasms associated with severe neuromuscular conditions, today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 5,400,000 shares of common stock at a public offering price of $16.00 per share, resulting in gross proceeds of $86.4 million, before underwriting discounts and commissions. All of the shares in the offering were sold by Flex Pharma. The company’s shares began trading on The NASDAQ Global Market on Thursday, January 29, 2015 under the ticker symbol “FLKS.”

Jefferies LLC and Piper Jaffray & Co. acted as joint book-running managers. JMP Securities LLC acted as lead manager and Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. and Roth Capital Partners, LLC acted as co-managers for the offering.
