FibroGen Announces Proposed Follow-On Offering Of Common Stock

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 14, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FibroGen, Inc. (NASDAQ:FGEN), a science-based biopharmaceutical company, today announced that it intends to offer and sell up to $300 million of its common stock in an underwritten follow-on offering. FibroGen also expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional shares of common stock. FibroGen anticipates using the net proceeds to fund the expansion of product development, manufacturing and commercialization activities, as well as for general corporate purposes.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Citigroup and Leerink Partners LLC are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering.
