The Food and Drug Administration (news - web sites) approved a test Tuesday that will speed up the process of determining whether someone has been infected by anthrax. The Redline Alert test can be performed in about 15 minutes and does not require specially trained personnel or special equipment, the FDA said in a statement. Other tests now used may require overnight testing or special equipment and personnel.
