BRIDGEPORT, Conn., Oct. 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Family Vision Center recently celebrated the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art optometry practice, located at 107 Boston Ave in Bridgeport, just a stone’s throw away from its former location, the original Shamrock diner, which it occupied since 1964. Family Vision Center has been recognized as one of the largest and longest-running family eye care practices in the state.
Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, Bridgeport Regional Business Council’s Business and Membership Development Director Jeff Bishop, and Bridgeport Lions Club President Ted Bresky were in attendance among colleagues, partners, vendors, and the Center’s staff. The celebration concluded with a ribbon cutting and tours of the new building, which pays homage to many notable Bridgeport landmarks.
“The grand opening was more than just a celebration,” Kristine Heslin, Family Vision Center Owner and Managing Partner, said. “It was an opportunity to acknowledge our steadfast commitment to the city of Bridgeport and our patients. I am proud that my father, Dr. Michael Gorman, chose Bridgeport 56 years ago as the place to found his practice.”
Family Vision Center also continues its commitment to giving back locally and abroad. Heslin presented a donation of used eyeglasses to Bridgeport Lions Club President Ted Bresky.
Family Vision Center offers professional eye services including comprehensive eye exams, treatment of eye diseases and injuries, contact lens fittings, designer frames, premier high definition digital progressive lenses, and a certified dry eye treatment center; a full service lab onsite that ensures patients receive their eyeglasses quickly; and an experienced staff of full-time optometrists, as well as a bilingual staff for Spanish-speaking patients.
