MUNICH, GERMANY and OTTOBRUNN, GERMANY--(Marketwire - April 20, 2010) - EXTEDO announced changes today to the organization that will build upon the recent success of the company. In 2009 EXTEDO achieved record revenues and profits, and also significantly expanded the number of employees.
Changes to the management team include the promotion of Tore Bergsteiner to the CEO of the EXTEDO Group. Christian Bohrmann will take over as VP of Global Sales & Marketing, and Irene Walter will join the management team as VP of Finance and Corporate Services. Harv Martens will move into an extended role as Senior VP of Global eRegulatory Affairs, and Andreas Wastl has joined the management team as the VP of Global Project Management.
Mr. Martens will continue in his leadership role with a large number of organizations such as the ICH M2 Expert Working Group, IRISS and ETICS.
When asked about the reorganization, Martins stated:
“I see this as a great chance for EXTEDO to build upon our current strengths and to expand further into the emerging global markets.”
Dr. Olaf Schoepke, VP Operations for Northern Europe had this to say about the new global management changes:
“The 2009 business in Northern Europe has been extraordinary successful. The change in our global organization comes just at the right time and perfectly matches our planned business activities for 2010.”
To financially secure growth, EXTEDO’s major shareholder IABG has made financial capabilities available to allow for additional resources to be added to both the Professional Services team and for focused Research and Development activities in eRegulatory Affairs and new platforms, such as Microsoft SharePoint.
Prof. Dr. Rudolf F. Schwarz, Executive Director of IABG, commented:
“With the year on year growth continuing at an accelerated rate the time is right to re-align the organization. As the main investor of EXTEDO, we want to demonstrate our support for EXTEDO as it continues to grow. We express our full confidence in Mr. Bergsteiner’s ability to lead EXTEDO into the next phase of expansion. As EXTEDO moves forward, strong leadership will be key to its success as a true global organization.”
Mr. Andreas Suchanek, Managing Director and co-founder, will move on to new entrepreneurial challenges. All milestones initially set out in terms of revenue, market share, and structural development led to EXTEDO’s record year in 2009, and resulted in surpassing all relevant operating figures.
Mr. Andreas Suchanek stated:
“I consider the agreement made between IABG and myself seven years ago as more than fulfilled and I am looking forward to new tasks.”
Tore Bergsteiner, CEO of the EXTEDO Group, said:
“At this stage I would like to thank Mr. Suchanek for his brilliant achievements for EXTEDO. I am pleased by the opportunity to build on our current success, and am looking forward to working with this excellent team. While these changes will be transparent to our customers and partners, I want to take this opportunity to open a dialogue with everyone who has helped to make EXTEDO a success.”
