This new facility will not only increase our daily DNA sequencing capacity, but will also bring us closer to a key area of the country so that we can provide faster turn around times.”
The Petaluma facility will share a building with sister company, Eurofins Scientific Supplement Analysis Center. “Setting up a new facility within another Eurofins laboratory operation was very advantageous,” explained Helaman Escobar, VP of Services for Eurofins MWG Operon, Inc. “The infrastructure and quality standards were already in place so that we could focus on ensuring the highest level of service for DNA sequencing results.”
The new facility, located at 1365 Redwood Way, Petaluma, California 94959, is providing high-quality Sanger DNA sequencing services to Eurofins MWG Operon customers in Northern California and surrounding areas. Customers in the San Francisco area will also be able to take advantage of daily sample pickups. The services offered from the San Francisco lab include standard DNA sequencing, Power Read service, processing of SimpleSeq™ reactions and samples in barcode-labeled tubes, and other DNA sequencing services for samples in tubes and plates using ABI 3730xl analyzers. The new lab will operate with the same protocols, systems, and standards of our Huntsville facility to ensure the same high level of quality and support. A member of the Huntsville facility sequencing team will be relocating to northern California to manage the new facility.
The Huntsville facility will continue to provide DNA sequencing services to North and South America, as well as providing next generation sequencing services, custom oligo synthesis, siRNA, and Gene synthesis.
