EP MedSystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: EPMD), a market leader in electrophysiology products used to diagnose and treat certain types of cardiac rhythm disorders, today announced financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2006. For the six months ended June 30, 2006, revenues were $7,390,000, a decrease of 10% from the $8,231,000 reported in the same period last year. Sales of our consumable products were up 2% in the first six months of 2006 over the same six months of 2005 primarily as a result of a 31% increase in sales of ViewFlex(TM) ultrasound catheters. The gross margin percentage for the six months ended June 30, 2006 remained flat compared to the comparable period of 2005. The net loss for the six months ended June 30, 2006 was $3,708,000 or ($0.13) per share, compared to $2,573,000 or ($0.10) per share in the prior year.
