ELMWOOD PARK, N.J., July 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Emdeon Corporation today announced that it currently expects that its previously announced process to evaluate strategic alternatives for its Business Services and Practice Services segments will not be completed until the middle of August. Emdeon had previously indicated, in its June 29, 2006 announcement, that it expected to announce the results of the evaluation process by the end of July. Emdeon noted that various factors are contributing to the delay, including the stronger than anticipated results for Emdeon Business Services and Emdeon Practice Services, as reflected in the Company’s June 29, 2006 announcement, as well as consideration of an additional strategic alternative.
As previously announced, Emdeon will release financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2006 at approximately 4:00 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, August 8, 2006.
