EMA Accepts Samsung Bioepis’ MAA for SB8 Bevacizumab Biosimilar Candidate

Samsung Bioepis Co., Ltd. today announced that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has accepted for review the company’s Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) for SB8, a biosimilar candidate referencing AVASTIN® i (bevacizumab).

INCHEON, Korea – July 19, 2019 – Samsung Bioepis Co., Ltd. today announced that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has accepted for review the company’s Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) for SB8, a biosimilar candidate referencing AVASTIN® i   (bevacizumab). If approved, SB8 will be commercialized in Europe by MSD, which is known as Merck in the United States and Canada.
