INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Eli Lilly and Company today announced that Pat James will step down as president of Elanco Animal Health. Effective January 1, 2008, James will assume the role of Special Advisor on Agriculture Corporate Development to the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA).
James has served as president of Lilly’s animal health business since 2001, and has been with Lilly for nearly 30 years. He started with Lilly in 1978 as an animal health sales representative, and subsequently held roles in animal health sales management, strategic planning, and human resources. He then had geographic responsibility for the company’s animal health business in the Asia Pacific region as well as Europe and the Middle East, and he also served as Lilly’s chief procurement officer from 1998 to 2001.
