(OTC: DGMS) today announced the successful upgrade of the company’s proprietary digital prescription handling software, digiRX™ 2.0, to allow prescriptions that are routed to non-digital pharmacies to be delivered in compliance with HIPAA faxing standards at a high-speed rate of over 200 per minute. digiRX™ software enables physicians to digitally prescribe medication through a wireless handheld device or the physician’s existing computer infrastructure and then transmits the prescription directly to the patient’s pharmacy of choice. The pharmacies owned by digiMedical all accept digital prescriptions, however the software is capable of transmitting prescriptions to any pharmacy digitally or via fax nationwide.
