Daxor Corporation (NYSE MKT: DXR), an investment company with medical instrumentation and biotechnology operations, announced today that Austin Nuclear Pharmacy, Inc. has leased a BVA-100 Blood Volume Analyzer.
Austin Nuclear Pharmacy, Inc., established in 2002, is an independently owned and operated nuclear pharmacy which specializes in providing products and services to many outpatient diagnostic imaging centers and hospitals with nuclear medicine imaging capabilities. Along with its two sister pharmacies located in Temple, TX and San Antonio, Texas, these services can now be provided to a large geographic region.
Blood Volume analysis is not new in patient management. The technology has been available for years. The previous method was very cumbersome, expensive, and not always reliable. Blood volume analysis is essential in maintaining an accurate balance of fluids (blood) in critically ill patients. Multiple independent research papers have been published verifying outcomes where blood volume measurement, utilizing the BVA-100, is utilized to guide therapy.
Tom Wilkinson, President of Austin Nuclear Pharmacy Inc. stated, “In collaboration with physicians, we strive to provide the most effective tools available to diagnose and manage patients with many complicated diseases. Daxor BVA testing is an exceptionally valuable asset that will assist in reducing cost, provide accurate diagnosis and, in the long term, efficient patient outcomes. Daxor and Austin Nuclear Pharmacy Inc. partnering will provide the ability to provide critical information to enhance patient care and outcomes. Austin Nuclear Pharmacy Inc. is committed to our clients and ultimately to the patients in the community. We are extremely excited to bring this valued tool to Austin and the surrounding areas.”
Daxor Corporation manufactures and markets the BVA-100 Blood Volume Analyzer, which is used in conjunction with Volumex, Daxor’s single use diagnostic kit. For more information regarding Daxor Corporation’s Blood Volume Analyzer BVA-100, visit Daxor’s website at www.Daxor.com.
