Recently Creative Biogene, a US-based biotech company, has announced that they successfully updated their previous Aptamers technology platforms, which is although a little improvement but can help researchers & developers more now. As a senior manager of Creative Biogene said, the newly improved technology platforms can make it much easier to life science research and applications, and guarantee that screen high affinity aptamers, design the appropriate modification and generate aptamers more efficiently will be more easily done with advanced next-generation aptamer technologies.
On the plus side, however, aptamers are selected for different targets starting from a huge library of molecules including randomly created sequences as the isolation of aptamers is performed with the SELEX procedure. Compared with the traditional SELEX, the new and enriched pool of oligonucleotides is allowed to bind to the target, and the cycle is repeated while in the old method those that do not bind are separated and discarded. Therefore, the novel technology platforms improve experimental result to some degree.
