NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2006--Clinical Data, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLDA - News) announced today that Third Security Staff 2001 LLC, an affiliate of Randal J. Kirk, Chairman of the company's board of directors, purchased 100,000 shares of the company's stock from Israel M. Stein, M.D., the company's executive vice chairman and interim chief financial officer, for $20 per share in a private transaction.
