CIRCA Scientific and Premier Sign Group Purchasing Contract for the S-CATH Esophageal Temperature Monitoring System

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Dec. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CIRCA Scientific, the leader in advanced esophageal temperature monitoring, announced today that it has been awarded a group purchasing contract with Premier, Inc.

The 3-year agreement with Premier, a leading healthcare improvement company, enables Premier's participating healthcare members to take advantage of enhanced savings on CIRCA Scientific's advance temperature monitoring products.

Accurately monitoring the temperature of the esophagus is an important component of complex cardiac ablation procedures. The company's S-CATH Esophageal Temperature Monitoring System enhances esophageal temperature monitoring with multi-point temperature sensing featuring an array of 12 fast-response temperature sensors on a soft, flexible, self-expanding probe, which conforms to the shape of the esophagus, providing maximum esophageal coverage. Independent studies have demonstrated that the S-CATH provides temperature information more quickly and more accurately than conventional temperature probes.
