EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 2006--Chiron Corporation (NASDAQ:CHIR) today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agreed to extend delivery terms for a stockpile of H5N1 bulk influenza vaccine(1) for the U.S. government. In October 2005, Chiron announced that it had entered into a contract with the U.S. government to stockpile H5N1 bulk vaccine.
