Cereal Beats Supplements For Vitamin E Absorption

Eating cereal fortified with vitamin E may be a better way of boosting intake of the vitamin than through supplementing the diet with capsules, suggests a new study. Researchers from Oregon State University in the US found that bioavailability of vitamin E from a fortified breakfast cereal was significantly greater than from a supplement. The poor absorption rate from the supplement could explain the conflicting results from vitamin E intervention studies, they add.
