CeraPedics L.L.C. Announces High-Profile Addition To Its Clinical Advisory Panel

LAKEWOOD, Colo., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- CeraPedics, a privately-held company focused on the development of synthetic bone graft products incorporating its proprietary P-15(TM) technology, announced today that it has added Courtney W. Brown, M.D. to its Clinical Advisory Panel. Dr. Brown is currently Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Colorado. CeraPedics’ Clinical Advisory Panel will play a key role in the development and commercialization of the P-15 technology for orthopaedic applications.

Dr. Brown is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He served a mixed surgical internship, as well as, an orthopaedic residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City. Very active in the medical community, Dr. Brown is the founding president of the Colorado Orthopaedic Society, serves on the Board of Directors and is former president of the Scoliosis Research Society, former president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Western Orthopedic Association, former chairman of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ Committee on Rehabilitation and was a consultant to the U.S. Olympic Ski Team for 25 years. Dr. Brown has specialized in spinal disorders for over 20 years and has a special interest in scoliosis, kyphosis, myelodysplasia, spinal stenosis, spine fractures and spinal cord injuries.

His publications include editorship of a medical text book, 24 articles published in peer-reviewed journals, four chapters published in medical text books, and various medical videos.

Dr. Brown joins other distinguished members Michael Janssen, D.O., and Vikas Patel, M.D. on the CeraPedics Clinical Advisory Panel. Dr. Janssen is Chairman of the Board of AO Spine International, as well as, the Spine Education and Research Institute, one of the leading centers for the study of non-fusion technologies. Dr. Patel is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics, and Chief of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at the University of Colorado and has conducted extensive research in spinal non-fusion technologies, alternative bone graft materials and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
