STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Scotland today took another step closer to global leadership in stem cell research with the launch of a new £9.5 million R&D programme by ITI Life Sciences (Dundee, Scotland) to develop an automated process to produce high-quality human stem cells. This capability does not exist anywhere in the world and its development will put Scotland at the forefront of stem cell research as well as bringing closer the use of stem cells as therapeutics.
