ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 5 — CARESTREAM Vue for Radiology with RIS+PACS+Reporting helps radiologists at Carolina Radiology Associates, Myrtle Beach, S.C., deliver rapid reports to the outpatient centers, physician offices and urgent care centers they serve. The group of 17 radiologists recently purchased and installed a Vue PACS and Vue RIS reporting module with native voice recognition from Carestream Health.

Other benefits include improved productivity through customized worklists and automatic registration for current and prior exams using Carestream’s innovative PowerViewer functionality, Dr. Brown added. “Automatic registration for CT, MR and PET exams is a huge time saver. MPR and MIP tools also help provide more accurate, real-time evaluation of the data sets and eliminate the need to depend on technologists for reconstructed images.”
The teleradiology division of the practice reads more than 70,000 imaging exams a year. Its radiologists work from eight different locations. Vue RIS+PACS provides a global worklist so the practice can now share the current workload of exams among all radiologists regardless of their location and offer subspecialty reading for select cases. The group includes radiologists with subspecialty training in neuoradiology, musculoskeletal, vascular/interventional, body imaging and nuclear medicine.
A key element in the practice’s selection of Vue PACS was its innovative Vue Motion zero-footprint, Web-based enterprise viewer, which provides convenient on-demand access to imaging data and patient information by clinicians anytime, anywhere. This streamlines the practice’s delivery of reports and images.
