Vendor-neutral archiving refers to standards-based platforms used in healthcare to store patient data and medical images and facilitate information access and exchange.

Compound annual growth for VNA storage worldwide from 2011 to 2017 is expected to be 48 percent, according to the report. The data management, disaster recovery, communications and security benefits of VNA are expected to drive increased use of this technology and make it the preferred storage platform for medical imaging, the report states.
