ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 4 — The CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System earned the top rating in MD Buyline’s First Quarter 2013 User Satisfaction Report for portable radiographic systems. Users gave the DRX-Revolution the highest rating in all six categories in the report, which included three other suppliers.
According to the report, users commended the DRX-Revolution for its exceptional functionality and ability to reduce radiation dose at some facilities. Users also complimented the system’s “improved visibility” due to the collapsible column. One user said “technologists are fighting to use this system.” Speed of image processing and preview was also highly rated by healthcare facilities.
The DRX-Revolution also earned high marks for reliability and a seamless implementation process. A number of respondents said they could efficiently use the system after the initial training session and facilities who had experience with CARESTREAM CR systems said the training was minimal due to the similarities in the user interface.
The MD Buyline Portable Radiographic System report includes user ratings in the following categories: system performance, system reliability, installation/implementation, applications training, service response time and service repair quality.
MD Buyline, the leading provider of healthcare technology and clinical research for reducing the purchasing costs across the healthcare supply chain, provides 3,000+ hospitals with unbiased, up-to-the-minute data on vendors, products, services, and user satisfaction ratings to ensure they invest in the right technology and services at the right price.
The CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution offers superb image quality, a compact footprint and a long tube head reach that easily accommodates limited space needs of the ICU, ER and OR and other bedside imaging environments. An automatic collapsible column gives technologists complete visibility when moving the system through busy hallways and in crowded bedside environments. The powerful dual motor drive makes moving the system effortless—in forward or reverse. Two touch-screen displays enable prior image review, technique changes and image acceptance or rejection from either location. Images are available for review in just five seconds. Its practical design includes bins for gloves, extra batteries, paperwork, markers, bags and a lockable storage space for the detector.
Because of its advanced functionality and user convenience, the DRX-Revolution is often referred to as an “X-ray room on wheels.”
