The symposium featured presentations on the clinical benefits of hyperthermia for the treatment of cancer, including the use of BSD’s hyperthermia systems. Presentations were made by Dr. Udo Gaipl, assistant professor at the University Medical Center in Erlangen, Germany, regarding the biological and immunological scientific basis for hyperthermia, including data showing that hyperthermia can stimulate the body’s own immune response to fight the cancer.
