Charlotte, North Carolina (September 7, 2004) – Bourne Partners announced today that Dr. Giancarlo Mennella, M.D., has been named Managing Director – International. Prior to joining Bourne Partners Dr. Mennella was the Director of Business Development at Shire Pharmaceuticals, the third largest UK pharmaceuticals group. During his tenure at Shire, Dr. Mennella was also in charge of Euro-Asian business development and led business development efforts in Japan. Prior to joining Shire, Dr. Mennella was Head of Business Development for Sigma-Tau.
