NATICK, Mass., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boston Scientific Corporation today announced it has made a $250,000 gift to Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization, in support of relief efforts in countries impacted by the devastating earthquake in Asia and other emergencies.
The Company said it selected Doctors Without Borders because of the organization’s work providing access to medical care for populations suffering from extreme hardships, such as those impacted by the recent earthquake in Asia. Doctors Without Borders delivers emergency aid directly to victims of armed conflict, epidemics, others who lack health care due to social or geographical isolation, and natural and man-made disasters.
