BioSphere Medical (NASDAQ:BSMD) today reports three-year outcomes of a multi-center study of more than 100 patients undergoing minimally invasive uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) using its Embosphere(R) Microspheres to treat symptomatic uterine fibroids. Study findings, which will be presented tomorrow at the 2006 31st SIR Annual Scientific Meeting in Toronto Ontario, Canada, indicate that over the short- and long-term, UFE using Embosphere Microspheres is safe and effective, with high levels of durable symptom control, improved health-related quality of life and patient satisfaction.
