Bioo Scientific Corporation Showcases Amplicon Panels And Solutions For Liquid Biopsy Analysis At AMP 2015

Bioo Scientific is spotlighting a number of innovative library preparation solutions designed to reduce bias and increase the sensitivity, flexibility and speed of next-generation sequencing at the upcoming Association of Molecular Pathologists (AMP) 2015 Annual Meeting in Austin, TX.

To meet the needs of molecular pathologists, Bioo Scientific is launching fully customizable, amplicon-based assays for targeted resequencing on the Illumina or Ion Torrent sequencing platforms. The NEXTflex™ Amplicon Panels allow researchers to sequence up to 2,000 amplicons using a simple workflow with 100% coverage of targeted regions. The NEXTflex™ Amplicon Studio™ offers high quality primer design, delivering panels with >90% of bases covered at 0.2x of mean coverage and >90% reads on target. The panels are then validated by sequencing and optimized to increase uniformity and decrease off-target reads.

New NEXTflex™ BRCA1 and BRCA2 Panels will also be introduced for Illumina and Ion Torrent-based sequencing. These panels, containing primer panels, library prep reagents and barcodes, are complete, validated solutions that target all exons in BRCA1 and BRCA2 loci.

The NEXTflex™ Cell Free DNA-Seq Kit and NextPrep-Mag™ cfDNA Isolation Kits offer fast and reproducible libraries for liquid biopsy analysis. Additionally the NEXTflex mtDNA-Seq Kit will be introduced, which is a complete mitochondrial DNA isolation and library prep solution that simplifies mtDNA analysis.

Bioo Scientific will also be highlighting its exome capture solutions, designed to allow for greater multiplexing and reduced input, which interface with Agilent SureSelect XT and XT2 systems and Roche’s Nimblegen SeqCap systems. The NEXTflex™ Rapid Pre-Capture Combo Kit is a complete low-input library prep solution with the ability to multiplex up to 96 samples, working seamlessly with Roche NimbleGen SeqCap EZ solution-based capture system. The NEXTflex™ Pre- and Post- Capture Combo Kits are also now available for use with both the Agilent SureSelectXT2 and SureSelectXT target capture systems. These kits are complete Illumina-compatible library prep solutions containing all reagents required upstream and downstream of probe hybridization to prepare sequence-ready, multiplexed capture libraries compatible with all SeqCap and SureSelect bait sets.

Technical representatives from Bioo Scientific will be available at booth number 226 at AMP 2015 to answer questions about Bioo Scientific’s library prep solutions. To set up a meeting with Bioo Scientific at AMP, please contact info@biooscientific.com.

About AMP

The Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) was founded in 1995 to provide structure and leadership to the emerging field of molecular diagnostics. AMP’s 2,300+ members include individuals from academic and community medical centers, government and industry; including pathologist and doctoral scientist laboratory directors; basic and translational scientists; technologists; and trainees. Through the efforts of its Board of Directors, Committees, Working Groups, and members, AMP is the primary resource for expertise, education, and collaboration in one of the fastest growing fields in health care. AMP members influence policy and regulation on the national and international levels, ultimately serving to advance innovation in the field and protect patient access to high quality, appropriate testing.
