BioMedix, Inc. Slashes Workforce, Enters Receivership

Med-tech firm BioMedix has cut its staff by 90 percent over the past year and sold off a software division in an effort to stay afloat. The Pioneer Press reports on the struggles of BioMedix, which also entered receivership to reorganize itself. The most recent cuts — which brought the company down to 19 people from more than 200 last year — came through the sale of a 50-person software business called TRAKnet to Nemo Capital Partners of New Jersey.
