Biogen Idec Inc. is leaving Weston, following just one year in the Boston suburb, to return its headquarters to Cambridge, the Boston Globe has reported. CEO George Scangos is looking to consolidate all of its employees in Kendall Square; The report noted that former Biogen CEO James Mullen pushed for the move to Weston. The company is building two new buildings in Kendall Square – a 190,000-square-foot building at 17 Cambridge Center and a 305,000-square-foot site on Binney Street.
