BioElectronics Corporation Announces New Product Feature and Patents

FREDERICK, MD--(Marketwire - May 23, 2011) -

BioElectronics Corporation (PINKSHEETS: BIEL) (OTCQB: BIEL), the maker of inexpensive, disposable drug-free topical pain devices, today announced that they have filed a Provisional Patent application, "RF Induced Thermal Treatment for Tissue Pain," and have received Issue Notification from the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office that they expect to issue a design patent for the Company's back belt.

The patent application relates to the use of radiofrequency induced, safe, inexpensive, convenient, 7-day or longer continuous deep heat treatments. The new thermal mechanism of action is in addition to the electrical field therapy, to provide a highly effective dual mechanism of action.

This new extended deep heat therapy is superior to current external heat technologies that only provide superficial short-term heat. The therapy is delivered comfortably without chemicals, odor, external heat, sweating or adverse effect concerns.

"As we get closer to our retail launch and prepare to face off against alternatives on the shelf, this additional product feature, when combined with our current patented pulsed treatment, will provide a compelling competitive advantage over drugs and hot and cold therapies."
