SAN DIEGO, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Biocom, Southern California’s regional life science association, today announced winners from its 2013 DeviceFest & Expo, held at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa. The day-long medical device and diagnostic conference focused on the latest developments in reimbursement, regulatory issues, deal structuring, commercialization and connected health.

This year, 14 companies showcased their innovative devices and diagnostic tools to investors, VCs and hospital administrators, while industry judges decided which companies would be awarded for technical excellence and medical significance. The winners of the Expo Competition are as follows:
