WASHINGTON, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Secretary of Veterans Affairs Anthony J. Principi is scheduled to announce his decision Friday on a comprehensive realignment of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care system.
Secretary Principi will make his announcement at 11 a.m. (PDT) on Friday, May 7, at VA’s Northwest Clinic in Las Vegas (2410 Fire Mesa Street).

The secretary’s announcement will culminate a three-year process to examine VA’s health care system, which is the largest integrated health care system in the country. Last year, VA provided care for about 600,000 inpatient visits and 50 million outpatient visits.
