Society Of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Release: AutoLap Is Named “Innovation of the Year”

September 5, 2016, Yokneam, Israel – The AutoLap™ laparoscope positioning system by MST Medical Surgery Technologies has been named “Innovation of the Year” by The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS). MST received the award at Minimally Invasive Surgery Week 2016 Opening Ceremony in Boston.

“It is a great honor to receive this recognition on behalf of the MST team for the AutoLap system,” commented Dennis Feldman, MST’s Senior Director of Sales and Marketing in the USA, at the ceremony. “It attests to their professionalism and commitment in meeting a market need for innovation and efficiency in minimally invasive surgery.”

AutoLap™ is the only image-guided robotic laparoscope positioning system for minimally invasive surgery. The system interacts with the surgeon’s movements in the surgical cavity, guiding the robotic laparoscope positioner in real time, offering the surgeon full and natural control of the surgical procedure and an optimal field of view. It is currently indicated for general laparoscopic, gynecologic as well as urologic procedures with standard laparoscopes or rigid endoscopes.

The SLS “Innovations of the Year” recognize the most innovative products of the past year that have a multidisciplinary application in minimally invasive surgery.

“We are grateful to SLS for recognizing AutoLap™, affirming its value in leveraging best practices in laparoscopic surgery,” said Motti Frimer, CEO of MST Medical Surgery Technologies. “This award is a prestigious recognition of achievement of excellence in industry innovation,” he added.
