AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SecureCARE Technologies, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: SCUI) , a leading provider of HIPAA-ready Internet- based document exchange and e-signature solutions for the healthcare industry, announced today the release of its new application, SecureCARE.net. SecureCARE.net is easy to learn and simple to use, with current users learning the solution in 10 minutes or less. It requires only a browser (such as Internet Explorer) and access to the Internet. Users can manage their documents from anywhere the Internet is available, whether at work, home or on vacation. The solution works where the user works, improving efficiencies and driving revenue all in a highly secure, HIPAA-ready environment.
Bob Woodrow, president and CEO, said, “This new application provides the basis to drive much of the administrative cost associated with paper handling right out of the healthcare system. It allows funds to be focused, instead, on providing quality care for patients.”
State-of-the-art software development tools from the Microsoft dotNet development solutions were used to speed the development and pave the road to an efficient deployment. Additionally, early in development, Microsoft design testing of the application was completed in the Austin Microsoft Technology Center to allow for a full, world-class evaluation of the application prior to release. A full review of the design and code was completed in a simulated production environment with customized test scripts, resulting in optimized performance and architecture.
SecureCARE.net offers extensive security, scalability and reliability. The new application is fully redundant and scalable with a three-tier architecture that enables the company to add components as customer demand increases. The new multiple server and storage area network configuration, co-located in a third-party facility, provides for robust fail-over. Data in the .net database is distributed among tables, making information-finding faster, particularly for import functions.
William B. O’Loughlin, executive vice president and COO, said, “We are thrilled to announce the launch of SecureCARE.net. This release is rich in functionality and highly intuitive. New features and enhancements make it a robust solution, greatly improving operating efficiencies while adapting readily to current office workflows.”
Since SecureCARE.net requires no hardware or software installation for customers, current SecureCARE customers such as Aurora Medical Group, St. Mary’s Duluth Clinic, U.S. Oncology and others will incur no expenses to manage and update internal networks. Customers can readily utilize this program throughout their entire network of office locations.
