Scient’x Receives Clearance For New Generation Polyaxial Screw System

MAITLAND, Fla., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Scient’x USA announced today that it has received 510(k) clearance for its new hemispherical polyaxial screw for spine surgery. The new screw is an extension of the company’s Isobar TTL system.

“We are pleased to announce the clearance of this new and improved screw in support of our flagship dynamic rod technology,” commented Craig Corrance, President of Scient’x USA. “It provides an unprecedented level of versatility to the surgeon that we believe is a distinct improvement over competitive systems.”

Scient’x USA is the first company to introduce to the U.S. market a dynamic stabilization system, and has experienced dramatic growth as a result. The company plans to continue to lead the market in non-conventional and emerging technology applications in spine treatment.

“Spine surgeons are increasingly looking to Scient’x to provide leading edge innovation that is generally not provided by the large companies,” said Corrance. “This product introduction is one of many advancements we expect to introduce in direct response to the stated needs of U.S. surgeons.”

Established in 2002 Scient’x USA is focused on the newly evolving markets for dynamic stabilization and motion preservation technologies for spinal surgery. The company is dedicated to meeting the needs of spine surgeons treating increasingly younger and more active patients.
