MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sexual health and wellness brand, Nuelle, Inc., announced Saturday February 27, 2016 at the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) Annual Meeting in Charleston, SC the release of its second proof of concept study, “The Impact of Fiera, A Women’s Sexual Health Consumer Product, on Premenopausal Genital Engorgement as Measured by Thermography: A Proof of Concept Study.”
With a commitment to normalizing the conversation about women’s sexual wellbeing and the impact on quality of life, Nuelle was thrilled that the study was chosen by the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) for a podium presentation at their Annual Meeting. ISSWSH provides the public with leading research and the newest information about women’s sexuality and sexual health. The nation’s most well-respected physicians and experts in the field were on hand to hear the presentation of results and participate in the dialogue following.
Nuelle Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Leah Millheiser, FACOG, IF, explains. “Prior to this study, there has been limited information quantifying the degree of genital engorgement after use of a product like Fiera or the time of onset of sexual arousal with the use. This study was an important step in demonstrating the effect of Fiera.”
The research was performed at San Diego Sexual Medicine under Irwin Goldstein, MD, IF, President of ISSWSH, and Sue Goldstein, BA, CCRC, IF, who presented the first thermography study results on post-menopausal women at the North American Menopause Society in 2015. This past weekend, Ms. Goldstein shared the latest findings from the thermography study focused on healthy pre-menopausal women, showcasing the following results*:
- Fiera caused statistically significant increases in temperature across the clitoris, vestibule, and labia (Temperature increase is a sign of vasoengorgement)
- 100% of the participants endorsed feeling in the mood for sex after use of Fiera
- 100% of participants experienced genital sexual arousal during use of Fiera
- No adverse events occurred during the study period
Sue Goldstein remarked, “ISSWSH is committed to spreading knowledge about women’s sexual health, so it was my honor to be able to present positive findings about Fiera to the community. We value the commitment Nuelle has made to research in our field and look forward to conducting future studies.”
