Smartphone test reader specialist Novarum DX® is continuing its recruitment drive with the appointment of six new team members – with further growth planned.
Headquartered in Edinburgh, Novarum’s revenue increased by 78 per cent during the 2015/16 financial year and the business is on course to continue this strong growth trajectory over the next 12 months.
The Novarum team has increased by 50 per cent in the last quarter and shows no signs of slowing with the appointment of a further four members of staff in the near future. Novarum is appointing key roles across the business, including commercial, quality assurance and software engineers for web and mobile development.
Novarum has also appointed a new customer relations manager, in response to an increase in customer projects, driven by a shift in market awareness about the potential of disruptive mobile technology.
Following the acquisition from BBI Group in October 2016, Novarum now has access to diagnostics knowledge and expertise over 450 strong. The acquisition has enabled both companies to support a wider range of customers by bringing the benefits of smartphone reader connectivity, accuracy and convenience to the marketplace.
Dr Neil Polwart, Novarum Founder and BBI Group Head of Mobile, said: “Novarum has experienced a fantastic period of growth over the last 18 months and we’re very pleased to be expanding the Novarum team. We’re beginning to witness a surge in demand for mobile technology – particularly from diagnostic companies, and we look forward to the enhanced capability that our new team members will enable Novarum to deliver.”
Novarum’s smartphone solutions allow users to read and share results of diagnostic tests using nothing more than a smartphone. Its technology can be used by anyone, to connect with medical professionals or field-workers with minimal user-training.
Novarum’s innovative smartphone reader technology facilitates the reading and sharing of diagnostic test results with multiple applications across the medical, food safety, veterinary and aviation industries, with no extra hardware, and at a low total cost of ownership. The company’s smartphone readers enable tests to be accurately read on-site, in remote and challenging environments, with the results shared securely with healthcare professionals or specific end-users.
Novarum’s custom web apps are used by some of the diagnostic industry’s biggest players and Novarum also works with smaller, more nimble specialists to develop new approaches to target and treat infectious disease, toxicology and auto-immune disease.
