TROY, Mich., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- CareTech Solutions, an information technology (IT) and Health Information Management (HIM) outsourcing provider for hospitals and health systems, today announced it has secured a seven-year comprehensive IT and HIM outsourcing agreement valued at $70 million with Mount Clemens General Hospital (MCGH) of Mt. Clemens, Mich., following a competitive selection process.
Under the agreement, MCGH will utilize CareTech Solutions as a strategic partner and employ its full spectrum of IT and HIM outsourcing services. CareTech also assumes management over MCGH’s nearly 100-person information services and HIM staffs, which transitioned employment as part of the agreement.

CareTech will provide a comprehensive IT solution for IT Operations including Help Desk, Data Center and Field Support, Network Services, Applications Services, Telecommunication Services, Desktop Services and Administrative Services including purchasing and contract management. CareTech’s HIM outsourcing services, which support coding, medical records processing, and transcription, will be instrumental in supporting MCGH’s strategic business objectives. As part of a turnkey solution, CareTech’s offering is intended to make healthcare information accessible to healthcare providers when and where it is needed most; enhancing individual patient care, accuracy, and speeding reimbursement.
