Fertility app/gadget maker Kindara announced Wednesday that it raised $5.3 million in seed funding from investors led by Boston Seed Capital. Other investors included SOSV, Good Works Ventures, PV Ventures, MENA Venture Investments and 62 Mile Ventures.
The Boulder company’s technology relies on the Fertility Awareness Method and Wink, its Bluetooth thermometer that records a woman’s basel body temperature. Wink sends the data wirelessly to a matching app on a mobile device. The app offers a visual way to help users figure out when is the best time to get pregnant — or not get pregnant.
