SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 31, 2006--Intraop Medical Corporation (OTCBB: IOPM - News) has received two orders from Japan for its proprietary Mobetron® system, a mobile electron-beam device designed for intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT). The new Mobetrons will be installed at the Gunma Prefectural Cancer Center and Nagoya University Hospital, two treatment locations already actively administering IORT, the direct application of radiation to a tumor while a patient is undergoing cancer surgery. With these two orders, Intraop has sold 17 Mobetron units worldwide, including three in Japan.
