NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated Healthware, LLC (Integrated Healthware), a provider of Electronic Health Records software to the ambulatory market under the brand name Physicians’ Workstation Suite (PWS), today announced that it has acquired Health Care Data Systems (HCDS) a leading provider of medical Practice Management Systems and services for over 20 years. Integrated Healthware will combine the operations of HCDS into its corporate organization and will market the practice management system under the ENTITY brand name. The combined operations will continue to service new and existing clients from both the Syracuse and North Billerica locations under the Integrated Healthware brand.
Late in 2003, Integrated Healthware purchased the assets of Wang Healthcare, which included PWS, a powerful and flexible Electronic Health Records (EHR) application. The acquisition also included an exclusive marketing agreement with HCDS and the option to purchase HCDS from Flow Management Technologies. “The opportunity to purchase an EHR company gave us a well-respected clinical automation solution, but we knew that to be successful with our aggressive growth plans, we needed a complete and integrated Practice Management System. HCDS was an established company and its products are a perfect complement to our existing solutions,” said Jack Bradbury, CEO of Integrated Healthware. The combined companies serve over 1,500 physicians with more than 3,000 system users throughout the country.
