LEONIA, N.J., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Infocrossing, Inc. , a provider of selective IT outsourcing and business processing solutions, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Infocrossing Healthcare Services, Inc., will be expanding its existing Medicare Managed Care Services offering to support the new prescription drug benefit known as Medicare Part D, effective January 1, 2006.
Infocrossing Healthcare Services' Medicare Support Services (MSS) practice has played a key role in the current Medicare Advantage program for many years. Infocrossing Healthcare Services currently provides Medicare Eligibility/Enrollment Services to over ninety (90) managed care organizations throughout the United States and was selected in 2004 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to perform Drug Card enrollments, on an exclusive basis, through the end of 2005.
As part of this expanded offering, Infocrossing Healthcare Services is developing a robust software application to support Medicare Advantage Plans and Part D Plans with their Medicare Part D processes. In addition to enhancing its current Eligibility/Enrollment and Payment Reconciliation (Recon+) software, Infocrossing Healthcare Services will be offering a new Medicare Part D Payment Reconciliation service.
Key features of the new Part D service suite will include: - Eligibility -- Real-time access to a CMS provided extract of the Medicare Beneficiary Database (MBD) will allow critical demographic data to be provided instantaneously, can be used to determine the status of eligible beneficiaries and assist Medicare Advantage Plans and Part D Plans in determining how these beneficiaries should be enrolled. This will streamline the eligibility verification process, improving response time and reducing costs. - Enrollment -- Infocrossing Healthcare Services' Medicare Part D Enrollment Submission simplifies the complexities surrounding the program transaction management services. By performing extensive edits on each transaction and the ability to immediately correct submissions, Infocrossing Healthcare Services' web-based system allows Medicare Advantage Plans and Part D Plans to increase the number of enrollees while increasing their level of customer service. In addition, the system will identify and track demographic discrepancies between plan and CMS data and provide extensive reporting of all associated transactions. - Reconciliation -- Infocrossing Healthcare Services' solution will allow Medicare Advantage Plans and Part D Plans to reconcile their Part D data and payments quickly, accurately, and cost effectively. With a financial and compliance focus, all payments will be tracked and discrepancies will be easily identified, ensuring improved capitation collection from CMS.
"Infocrossing Healthcare Services will continue to bring innovative solutions to the healthcare marketplace and is pleased to announce this addition to its Medicare support services portfolio," said Mike Luebke, Infocrossing Healthcare Services President. "The addition of Part D to Medicare brings many administrative challenges to health plans, and our new service offerings provide real solutions to these issues," concluded Mr. Luebke.
