CHICAGO, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Corporate Benefit Services of America, Inc. (CBSA), has selected Health eConnex (HeC), a leading provider of end-to- end processing solutions for the healthcare industry, to handle PPO connectivity and electronic claim distribution.
CBSA, a leading national administrator of self-funded and fully insured employee benefit plans, currently handles claim re-pricing by sending the claims to the PPO or re-pricing the claims internally. HeC will be replacing that process with an automated claim routing function through its vast network of PPO connections. Raw claim data will be delivered to HeC and they will send it electronically to CBSA’s PPOs. HeC will aggregate all the re-priced claims from the PPOs and return the data to CBSA through a single interface.
“This should be a more efficient process for CBSA,” says Brendan Friar, executive vice president for HeC. “With over 200,000 claims a month, the method the company was using was labor intensive. CBSA analyzed their process and determined it would be more efficient outsource to HEC.”
