Harris Gets $37 Million Cancer Research Contract

Harris Corp. NYSE:HRS) won a $37 million recompete contract from the National Cancer Institute's Center for Cancer Research. The contract includes one base year and four one-year options and continues Harris' 29-year history of providing data management for the institute’s clinical trials.

Under the contract, Harris will provide clinical data management, quality assurance and control, clinical audit and monitoring of clinical trials for safety and compliance, and maintenance and enhancement of research databases and systems.

Dan Pearson, Harris Corp.'s executive vice president and chief operating officer, said the company will develop enhanced processes technologies to support compliance with federal regulations. Harris' team includes subcontractor Asclepius Solutions Inc. and includes medical doctors, research professionals, and information technology specialists.

Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) based in Melbourne and has more than 16,000 employees.
