FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., May 4
FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc., a leading supplier of innovative computer products including peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced the expansion of the company’s currency handling equipment offerings to the Latin America market. Offered through robust OEM partnerships, Fujitsu cash dispensers, bulk note acceptors and new G610 and G611 currency recyclers provide customers with superior reliability, unmatched security and low maintenance requirements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs. To help develop OEM partnerships and penetrate the Latin America market, Fujitsu has hired industry veteran Sergio Arevalo as sales manager of OEM products in that region.
“While demand for our industry-leading currency handling equipment continues to increase in North America and other parts of the world, Latin America has emerged as a potential high-growth market for us as retailers, financial services firms and other organizations look to maximize machine uptime and lower costs,” said Randy Fox, director of OEM products, Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. “Fujitsu solutions have set the industry standard for performance and reliability, so we are excited to bring Sergio Arevalo on board to develop OEM partners in Latin America to help customers realize the long-term benefits of our technologies.”
As sales manager for OEM products in Latin America, Arevalo is responsible for expanding the currency handling equipment business in Mexico, Central and South America by developing strategic OEM partnerships. Prior to joining Fujitsu, Arevalo worked at Emulex Corporation, where he drove increased sales in the Asia-Pacific region. Before that, he served as director of international sales at ADTX, a spin-off of IBM Japan, where he consistently increased revenue by establishing long-term business relationships in Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Arevalo has also held positions at MicroNet, Audiovox Corporation and CKA Group (Hyundae Metal). He has a degree in business administration from California State University-Fullerton.
“When it comes to ATMs, kiosks or other self-service systems, customers in Latin America have the same needs as companies in other markets -- they want solutions with low maintenance requirements, steadfast reliability and robust security,” said Arevalo. “The Fujitsu portfolio of currency handling equipment provides these advantages while reducing customers’ overall operational costs and I look forward to developing strong OEM relationships across Latin America to address customer pain points and establish Fujitsu as a leading provider of cash dispensers, bulk note acceptors and currency recyclers.”
